At the foot of the Middle Atlas, Beni Mellal overlooks the Tadla plain. The Ain Asserdoun spring and gardens and the Ras el-Ain kasbah above the city are its landmarks.
The city is a convenient stop between Marrakech and Fez, close to the Ouzoud falls and Bin el-Ouidane lake.
